ordered a specific model of HP adapter. Got an equivalent and it worked okay.
But i got no response when i sent email to the supplier.
I wonder what would have happened if the product was entirely wrong or did not work?

Straightforward review here. Good replacement cord, does and says what the description says. If you have bent your plug in portion of your power cord like I have (why does HP make such a lousy power cord for this model?) than you need this replacement cord. Looks identical to original.

My family has two computers which use this model charger, which makes troubleshooting problems a lot easier. First the original charger for my HP nc6320 went out, and then I bought a replacement from Power Adapter World, the product on this page.
The charger arrived quickly, and it was a genuine HP charger rather than a cheap overseas knockoff. It worked great, and then it developed a short in the cable near the output port. I think this is HP’s design issue of putting the charger at the back of the computer, so if you take it on the road and use it in vehicles it’s always getting bent & pulled around by the cord which weakens it. My other two HP / Compaq laptops have the charger on the side and that never gets damaged like this.
I wrote back to Power Adapter World and explained the issue, and there were NO HOOPS to jump through. They sent me a new adapter without even issuing an RMA or insisting that I ship the defective one back. (I’m shipping it back anyway.)
How refreshing to experience a company that has real service! Thank you Power Adapter World!

I purchased this for my HP DV6000. The tip fits so loosely in the power port that it doesn’t make enough connection to work at all, even if you jiggle, tape, push, or pull on it. Might work for other laptop models, but not mine.

Just received today and seems perfect. Delivered before estimation (by power_adapter_world) and fit may dv2000 laptop perfectly better than original one. so far so good
