Bought the cable to copy video from Mini DV to DVD recorder. Worked for several hours and then no picture or sound. Bought replacement and solved the problem. Original went back to Amazon for a quick replacement. I’m keeping it for a spare. Cable does a great job.

We needed this cable to connect our minidv camcorder to our dvd recorder and was thrilled to find this at a fraction of the cost of a lower-quality one at Best Buy. It has worked great for us for a couple months now as we have been saving all of our tapes to dvd.

The cable’s construction is very solid. I transferred about 4 hours of recorded video from a night of shooting and had no issues.

Tt’s a freaking cable. It looks nice, well packaged, and the gauge of the cable is thick and rubbery. I don’t know if it will do a “better” job at what it’s supposed to do, but I do not doubt that this will be more durable than most generic cables out there.

The Belkin 4-Pin to 4-Pin Firewire Cable is a very well made and high quality cable. Many lower cost cables often feel “flimsy” or look like they will be a problem at the connector, but the Belkin cable is thick and has a solid reinforced connector head. It also has an RF Filter to prevent interference.
We use this cable for camcorder to camcorder dubbing and it works as expected.
